| Is it normal for my husband to play video games and watch cartoons on a regular basis? The video games I can deal with, because he plays Madden football on the Playstation. I have dated several guys who did that. Although I think it's a bit immature, I feel it's justified because they are playing sports games. However, when it comes to cartoons I have never in all my days of life seen an adult watch cartoons like my husband. I mean, I like cartoons myself and watch them from time to time. Especially the older ones like Pink Panther, Flinstones, Jetsons and Tom & Jerry. But my husband tunes in to Sponge Bob, Dexter's Labaratory, Fairly Odd Parents, and whatever else he can find every single day. He takes his snacks to wherever he's going to watch TV, usually in the living room, and he goes to town. He dunks cookies in milk and still drinks the milk out of the cereal bowl. It's almost like he goes into guy mode or something. He is literally wrapped up in the cartoon too. It's like he's mesmorized with Sponge Bob. Again, I like cartoons too but gees! |

| Anyone else sick of Cartoon Network? Especially Adult Swim? I mean yeah Adult Swim has some good shows like Family Guy, Futurama, Robot Chicken, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force but the rest is crap. Squidbillies what the hell is that? Also, those Japanese shows are horrible and they suck the only people I know watch those shows are gothic people.( I have nothing against those people)I miss the shows I grew up with like I'm 17 now but 10 years ago I watched The Flinstones Jetsons Snorks Smurfs Scooby Doo Justice League Spiderman Batman Alvin and the Chimpmunks Tom and Jerry Looney Tunes but half these shows don't even come on anymore because Bill and Mandy is on and that show is dumb as hell. I say the best show on Cartoon Network is another one I grew up with is Ed Edd n Eddy also Courage the Cowardly Dog is good and so is Foster's Home for Imaginery Friends but that's about it. I wish i could get enough people to tell Cartoon Network to put these old shows on again. |

| The Current Status of Cartoon Network and "Nick" ? ? When I was growing up, Cartoons held alot of meaning then they do now. Cartoons were also better written and a significant amount of quality compared to now-a-days. When I was growing up I often stuck to watching Nickelodean and Cartoon Network, primarily the latter because the Cartoons were great. While it's Cartoon Network Counterpart hosts hours and hours of -Total Drama Island- Garbage -6Teen- Garbage -The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack- Mildly Decent -Chowder- Mildly Decent They constantly alternate between T.D.I and 6Teen for hours a day and when they've drained the blood from whoring it they transfer into the latter 2 until Adult Swim airs. | It would seem that they think that younger guys have absolutly no brain.They must be carried through the entire show, because there's no way that guys could catch thing such as an acualy "plot line" The only thing decent that I've seen is Avatar, it went a bit off (started getting into romance a bit more then they needed to) but was acually good. It had a plot, was funny, and didn't nurse the views through everthing that happened. As a result: it was a huge hit with guys, teens, and parents. We need more cartoons that seem like efferort was put into them. Not crappy garbage that gets boreing after 2 minutes. |
