I have a rash that has spread in no particular pattern.? We were at the beach last week & thought jellyfish, but I can't find any info on what the rash would look like. It was on the inside of my left arm and isn't as bumpy now. It is on the inside of both legs, behind the knee and is now spreading up my to my butt and stomach and back area. It does itch, but not horribly. I've taken bendryl, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
Any ideas??? Thanks! | | Jellyfish sting. If you had been stung you would know it. Go see your physician. | I'm embarrassed at the beach with my mom.? WE ARE GOING NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY! oh, and you know what...!!.... im going to wear the smallest bikini and bottoms i have JUST to EMBARRESS U! also, i will tell all your friends to join us :) how about that for embarressing , eddie?! | The Best Way to Apply Sunscreen before a trip to the nude beach? I am traveling to a nude beach as part of my vacation, and I am very worried about getting sunburned on my testicles. My doctor told me that before I go to the beach, I should find a nice comfortable chair, spread my legs as far as possible, clench my butt cheek muscles, cup one of my man marbles in each hand spread them apart for easier access. Then apply about a gallon of sunscreen to each of my balls and sensually slather it in for about ten minutes.
Is this how you were told to do it, does anybody have any suggestions? | | um if you "slather" for ten minutes, youll probably jiz. just apply it like lube. and like really: who thinks about that? | How can I tell if I have sand flea bites or something worse? Well I just returned from my vacation on the beach. I seemed to develop about 3-4 normal looking insect/bug bites on the trip home. Well a couple of days after being home my family and myself starting breaking out in these insect bites all over our arms and legs. I'm not sure what it is but we went to the doctor and they didn't think it was scabies but they weren't really sure. Were taking medication to help the swelling but do you guys have any idea as to what this may be? I was starting to think it was like a rash/sand flea bites or hives maybe. I'm just not sure but the bumps are sort of wide spread and look like flea bites and they're sensitive. Any help? | Could be chiggers
Common chiggers, also known as “jiggers” and “redbugs,” are tiny pests which belie their size in the amount of torment they cause humans. Chiggers attach themselves to tender skin areas to feed. The bites cause intense itching and small reddish welts. Because chiggers are so small, they are hard to avoid. Most persons cannot see them without a magnifying glass and so the bites may be the only indication that the bugs have infested a certain area. | How do you cure this type of skin infection? I went to the beach like 3 weeks ago, during spring break & when I came back I noticed pimple-like bumbs on my stomach & pelvis. They turned into little blisters afterwards & itch/hurt. It spread to my leg & butt cheek. I'm pretty sure it's cercarial dermatitis common name swimmer's itch. I want to know treatments & home remedies that work because it hasn't gone away. I'm going to the doctor this week though. Please & thank you. (: | Putting baking soda in your bath and soaking might help. At the drug store you can buy an over the counter cortisone cream. That is what you need for this kind of problem. An antihistamine might also help. Read about it here.
www.aocd.org/skin/dermatologic_di… | Love the beach but allergic to Sand fleas? Just got back from visiting family in florida....
We went to key west for the day and had a GREAT time but after we left I broke out in hives and rashes, itchy like crazy! I had no idea what I was allergic to until I remembered something from when I was young.
The ONLY known allergy I have is to sand fleas. I had a reaction when I was about 6 that my mother thought was chicken pox but the doctor told her it was a reaction to sand flea bites.
I first noticed my lip swelling a little bit at the beach... then the hives... then I noticed the back of my legs had alot of welts on them some as large as a baseball....from there it spread. Went home took benedryl..which did nothing and woke up the next day with my hand swollen, rashes on my upper arms, and edema on my forhead and back of head/neck....
I got to a doctor immidiatly as my flight back to NJ was later that day and wanted to get something before I left....
The doctor said she didnt think it was sand fleas cause she didnt see any bites (she didnt look at the back of my legs)
but we were playing with these hard plant things. My sister in law called them sea pods or something. Apparently today I found out from my brother in law that sand fleas lay eggs in them (dont know for sure)
ANYWAY...I love the beach...I love florida... So what is they best thing I can do to prevent this from happening again?
keep in mind When i go to the beach I am constantly in and out of the water I love to swim...
also...next week I'm going to make an appointment to see exactly what my allergies are | | you can use any one ointment to prevent sand fly bite or contact | SUMMER!!and i still gotta wear jeans and sweater to the beach :( (WHY?CLICK)? well im suffering from Keratosis Pilaris since i was in 6th grade

You need to explain this to your friends and people you do not know so they also understand how you are feeling. This is something that until there is a real cure you need to be able to live with.
There is no cure for keratosis pilaris, since KP is a chronic, genetic follicular disease, however treatments are available. Results from treatments vary and can often be disappointing. With persistence, most people will see satisfactory improvement. It is recommended that treatment not be discontinued because the buildup of keratin (the hard protein in the skin, nails, and hair) will continue to reform around the hair follicles.
