Who has read Public Enemies? Is it ok for sophisticated young teenagers to read? Well, I heard the movie was really good so the book must be good too
Is it an awesome book?
Does this book have any educational value that you think young readers should know?
Is it appropriate for a young sophisticated teenagers?
Our class at school barely finished reading The Devil In The White City so any violence and tedious parts is nothing new. |
| Wait a minute! There is a book? Well I'd better get it soon, since I watched the movie. |
What is Adelaide like for a family with young teenagers? We are a family of four from the United Kingdom looking to live in or around Adelaide in South Australia. We have two young teenagers, one is sports mad and the other is into music, so anything about that would be helpful. We'd like to have a nice place to raise our family and want to know what it's like!
If you have any pros and cons we'd be very grateful |
I myself am a teenager living in Adelaide, and I love it :)
It's so much quieter and relaxed than the other stages (e.g. Melbourne and Sydney) but has so many musical festivals like the Fringe and Big Day Out.
Adelaide has a cosy feel to it, you don't easily get lost in the city like you would in Sydney.
I'm really into sport (tennis) and there are lots of clubs around the suberbs, and the schools also have teams and training sessions.
People here are also really welcoming, we get heaps of new students at school and they fit right in.
Adelaide also got a great music scene. My brother is really into music, and when he went to school there were so many oppurtunities for him to broaden his knowledge. Now that he is out of school, he has formed a band, and regularly attends local gigs and concerts. There are heaps of local bands that perform and so many places to learn instruments.
Pros
-Nice people, relaxed environment, easy to get around
-Lots of different schools, variety.
-Great weather!
I love the Adelaide weather, because in Summer its nice and hot, and in Winter its chilly and rainy :)
The only con I can think of off the top of my head, is that Adelaide doesn't have Krispy Kreme donut shops :P haha |
Not to be preachy, but what is some good advice that young teenagers need today? I am not a parent, but I have a sister and brother who are in their teens.
It seems that young teenagers are only concerned about having a boyfriend and whether or not they should have sex at the age from 13 - 16 yrs old. Seems to be more so than when I was in highschool which was 10 years ago.
Teenagers should concentrate more on getting an education and not who they should hook up with this week.
Please if you could give advice to young teenagers today do so. |
| Tell them to have sex as soon and as often as possible. The more they have sex, the less they have to worry about it. Oh and it feels REALLY good. |
Do guyren and young teenagers go to hell? I swear I seen young teenagers and guyren in hell. I see the other side sometimes. As in dead people, yes. |
Guess it depends on the Spiritual background of their family.

Do adults think it looks ridiculous when young teenagers wear makeup? or when young teenagers decide to have relationships?
does it seem funny in a way or ridiculous to adults? |
How young is young?

How do teenagers so young get away with suicide? Ive just heard about a young boy who lives in my area that has hung himself, its so sad! a few years back my friend knew a young teenager aswell who did the same thing! i just really dont understand how they get away with it. how does a teenager learn how to do it, and how do they actually do it? i never thought they would actually be successful! i feel so sorry for their families its just awful. i dont understand the procedure? |

What are some good ways for young teenagers to make money? what are some good ways for teenagers to make a quick profit if they are too young to get a job?? |
I would babysit.
Earn the trust of neighbors, babysit while your parents are home, in case anything goes wrong, they'll be there to back you up. You can also take CPR and babysitting courses from the red cross, and it makes you a very certified babysitter from just completing this four hour session.
Also, you can do elderly citizens yard work. A lot of the time elderly folks are very appreciative of young helpers, and if you volunteer your time, a lot of time its rewarded in some way.
When you're fifteen you can bag groceries at some supermarkets, or you can get a working permit. I'm not sure what the permits allow you to do, but I have some friends who did work as ushers at movie theatres and stuff like that when they were 15 through the working permit. *Hint: If its a contracted job and you are young and not making too much money, make sure you sign up to not pay an income tax.
One last idea, is if you are involved in a sport or an activity you can assistant coach a younger guys team or assist a teacher. You can also tutor elementary age students if you are smart enough, or work in an after school program.
There are a lot of opportunities for young guys out there. You just have to find them.
Happy hunting!! And Good Luck!! |
